UK - Händler nimmt Manhunt aus den Regalen

Wie gestern berichtet, geriet das mittlerweile bei uns beschlagnahmte Spiel Manhunt, auch in Großbritannien in die Schlagzeilen, als Eltern eines ermordeten Kindes, Verbindungen des Mörders (17 Jahre) mit dem Spiel aufbauten. Da in den Medien sowas schnell gepusht wird, geriet das Spiel in den Vordergrund und bestimmte die Schlagzeilen der Nachrichten.

Jetzt reagierte darauf der erste UK Händler \"Dixons\" und nahm das Spiel aus den Regalen. Die britische ELSPA, die die Altersverifizierungen vergibt, wähnt sich durch die \"ab 18\" Einstufung sicher und sieht keinerlei Verbindungen zu den Anschuldigungen. Ausserdem betont sie, dass so ein Spiel niemals in die Hände eines 17 jährigen hätte kommen dürfen.

Derweil ließ sich auch Rockstar Games (die durch GTA schon Erfahrungen mit solchen Verteufelungen haben) für einen Kommentar nieder.

There is a clear certification structure in place and Manhunt was clearly classified as 18 by the British Board of Film Classification and should not be in the possession of a juvenile.
