Wie heute bekannt gegeben wurde werden God of War II Chefentwickler Cory Barlog und Sony Computer Entertainment of America in Zukunft getrennte Wege gehen. Darüber hinaus besteht auch die Möglichkeit , dass ihm noch einige Teammitglieder folgen werden. Ein offizielles Statement seitens Barlog steht bisher noch aus.
Einen ähnlichen Vorfall erlebte Sony im Übrigen schon Anfang des Jahres mit David Jaffe\'s (Produzent von God of War I) Rücktritt.
